Create the ultimate head start in an aviation career with AeroLogic™, WAVE’s career-path pilot program for students age 12 & up (7th Grade+).

Using our Sim to Solo™ Method, students practice flight procedures, checklists, and navigation at home before ever stepping into an expensive cockpit. This targeted prep drastically cuts down required in-air training hours—saving families an estimated $3,000 to $6,000 in actual flight instruction costs toward a private pilot certificate.

Program Details: 

• At Home: Student-pilots practice weekly digital simulator missions, tackle interactive ground school, and commit to live phone conversations with their training partner for practice sessions.
• On-Campus Classes: Meets every other week at WAVE during the semester to review flight physics, meteorology, ATC communications, log flight hours, sim session reviews, Q & A, and earn official logbook stamps clearing them for their next airspace.
• Flight Gear & Tools (yours to own): The required software, digital learning course and hardware run approximately $600 to $1,200. Additionally, some or all of the at-home hardware, software and digital course service may be reimbursable through your state scholarship programs - Step Up, AAA - pending each program's ongoing rules.
• WAVE is not a flight school. When student-pilots are ready to begin in-air flight training, we will provide you with a short list of vetted local flights schools. Once you select your flight school, you will train toward your first solo (minimum age 16 to solo) and then toward your Private Pilot Certificate (minimum age 17 to receive your certificate). Your flight instructor determines when you are ready to solo and advance to your Private Pilot Certificate check ride.
