Emily and her husband Dave started WAVE for one simple reason — their own kids deserved a place where everyone knew their name, and where they were never just another number.
WAVE (Wild and Victorious Education) was launched with the concept of combining Academics, Performing Arts, Martial Arts, and Adventurous Electives — taught by skilled, passionate instructors.
From day one, every WAVE student receives a welcome badge — so teachers know exactly who they are, and kids find their people fast. Friendships form that last well beyond the semester.
That's not an accident. That's how we designed it.
That's the WAVE difference. Community first. Always.
No volunteer hours. No donation asks. Ever.
Your only job is to be a parent. We'll handle the rest.
Since the age of 9, plans were in the works: move to NYC and continue training as a musical arts performer. After college, I found myself singing, dancing, and acting in the Big Apple and around the country.
After years of success in performing and directing, my heart shifted fully toward the Lord, and with that my life path shifted as well. Dave and I began a performing arts school and eventually, after a long struggle with infertility, a family.
Ultimately, the pull to homeschool became our focus matched with the opportunities and freedom of the Sunshine State. Watching our children grow here is a blessing beyond measure.
Currently, I spend my time enjoying parks and museums with the fam, researching health and wellness, performing karaoke in my kitchen, and singing on the church worship team.
Emily brings 50+ professional theatre performances across North America to every WAVE show. She has directed, choreographed, and starred in everything from Godspell Jr. to full-scale musicals.
Parents say: ‘My child lights up on stage here.’ With smaller class sizes than larger programs, every student gets real guidance and spotlight time.

Originally from NYC, my career has been defined by a dual passion for aviation and pioneering new ventures. By age 24, I had successfully launched and sold several businesses to fund my path toward the cockpit. Even during my 15 years of flying for Continental Airlines, I remained a builder at heart. After retiring from aviation, Emily and I established a performing arts studio and a celebrated dance company—a spirit of leadership and growth that I now bring to my work as a market strategist and as the director of our local homeschool co-op.
Though my career has taken me across the globe, nothing compares to the joy of pouring into the next generation right here in Tampa. We are incredibly blessed to call this community home and to walk this journey of faith, learning, and leadership with you.
