Dave and Emily Casale | WAVE of Tampa Bay | Homeschool Education Center - Brandon, Florida

Emily and her husband, Dave, share a long-standing vision and mission to pioneer homeschooling into the 21st Century. As the parents of three homeschooled children, and while also working from home, they realized the compelling need for educational and social experiences outside of familiar boundaries. What developed from that simple idea became Our Mission: provide homeschooled students with rare opportunities for growth and leadership that will serve as a foundation for wild and victorious success.

WAVE (Wild and Victorious Education) was launched in our home city of Tampa with the concept of bringing instructors, with a wide range of skills, into one educational system where homeschooled students can thrive as one cohesive community. Going above and beyond tradition, we sought to go "next level" with classes and experiences designed to guide homeschoolers into a world of uncommon achievement.

No matter your abilities or aptitudes, there's a place for you here. We can't wait to meet you and welcome you into our community.

More about Emily

Since the age of 9, plans were in the works: move to NYC and continue training as a musical arts performer. After college, I found myself singing, dancing, and acting in the Big Apple and around the country.

After years of success in performing and directing, my heart shifted fully toward the Lord, and with that my life path shifted as well. Dave and I began a performing arts school and eventually, after a long struggle with infertility, a family.

Ultimately, the pull to homeschool became our focus matched with the opportunities and freedom of the Sunshine State. Watching our children grow here is a blessing beyond measure.

Currently, I spend my time enjoying parks and museums with the fam, researching health and wellness, performing karaoke in my kitchen, and singing on the church worship team.

More about Dave

Originally from NYC, my childhood interests focused on baseball, business, and barnstorming (err, flying).

As for baseball, I was passed up for the shortstop position in favor of Derek Jeter. Back to Earth, I started three businesses between high school and college - the last of which I sold at age 24 to embark on my dream of becoming an airline pilot. For 15 years, my flying career with Continental Airlines kept me on the move. Yet, I could never surrender my entrepreneurial ambitions. After early retirement from the airlines, Emily and I started a performing arts studio that featured a renowned dance company. I then developed into an equities trader (the working from home part) which I still do today.

Though my career has taken me across the globe, nothing compares to the joy of pouring into the next generation right here in Tampa. "We are incredibly blessed to call this community home and to walk this journey of faith, learning, and leadership with you."
